RE: Bass Guitarist looking to create Cover Band

Hi Marty
Are you interested in stepping into an existing band? We're looking for the right bassist. We do a mix of zep, Rush, Tom Petty, the Killers, skynnrd, guns, all the usual good stuff.
We are a female singer, 2 guitarists, and drummer(me) ages 28 to 41. No attitudes here, just career people who want to have fun, gig a few times a month, and have some laughs. We take the music seriously enough to want to nail the songs, but not seriously enough that we act like jerks about it. We can all play our instruments, and have a hard time finding dedicated competent bassists.
If your interested drop me a line at mraia1@optonline.net.
Take care. Hope to hear from you soon.
Matt

48 yr old bass player looking to assemble team of talented musicians to play and entertain crowds with cover songs. I'd like to perform out at least
2x a month and preferably 3x. I'm pretty flexible with tastes.
Some of my influences are the Rolling Stones, Velvet Revolver,
Queens of the Stone Age and U2.

Must be dedicated, reliable, on time and in condition to play
Also must want to play the occasional open mic (yes, they're on weeknights)
to help the band gain exposure to clubs who want to see a preview of the
band.

I'm looking for lead and (rhythm guitar or keyboard), drummer, male or
female singer. I want someone who wouldn't be afraid to belt out
a song like Metallica's "Sandman". Singer must be eager to be a
front person who will engage the crowd.

So email me and tell me about yourself.

Once I have a lineup, we'll meet a place like Phase I in Farmingdale to get the ball rolling.

Thanks,

Marty Houlroyd
