I just came across this forum and found this thread although it is quite old. I have recently started playing acounstic guitar aka Hot Tuna style bluesy stuff. I played bass for decades until I gave it up in 2007 for guitar.

wow I never realized how many song writers there were.....I play rythm guitar and have good vocals with good range over 2 octaves. I've written over 50 songs now,,,,some are political some peace and love songs as well as some very nice blues material  12 bar styles for the most part..the lyrics flow smooth ..good coffee house matrial..  with many stories that are told... many are comical...I know there is at least one one hit wonder out of the bunch..yes yes that sounds good   lol   no delussions  .Music is my hobby.. as for most of us. I'm looking for my home to play and laugh and create ...... My style Folk and blues styles maybe a jazz song in the bunch...my lyrics with the musical pharasing is very good. If anyone is interested in what I have to offer please call.....No metal

I have decent equipment that I  have extra of if need be .  Including limited recording equip (yet to be hooked up)

You responded to an add I palced in August looking for musicians to put together an accoustic style kind off soft rock kind of group. I just started playing a year ago after a 28 year break from playing endlessly. I am not looking to do this for a living just play once or twice a week to have some fun and go back to some of my roots. I am open to the type of music but I guess stuff like the stones, beatles, lobo, eagles, bread type music. I can do some back up vocals but thats where it ends. If you are still interested please email me at charlescestaro@servcoind.com and tell me where you would like to go with this. Again my chops are strong enought o play this type of stuff but if you are looking for a pro type I may be dissapointing you.

I read your post so here it goes. I just picked up my guitar again after 28 years(yes thats true) of not playing. Stopped at 22 after playing from 13 yrs of age. At one time I was pretty dam good but you know what 28 years can do. Just getting my feet wet again and really doing mostly accoustic stuff like bread, lobo, beatles stuff etc etc. Dont have my chops back yet but fine with cords finger picking etc etc. Not a lead guitarist and I do need some patience with whomever decides to give this a whirl with me. I have a few accoustic guitars and my 62 Les paul. I would love to slowly get my feet wet playing in coffee house settings a few times a month.  I may not know the songs now but I will learn them for our jam.
