I am in the final stages of putting together an exciting soon to be working tribute-singing group that honors a recently lost famed singer, based in Long Island and am looking for a talented lead guitarist. The music will be a blend of this singers music, as well as music from the 1950s, 60s and 70s.
Id like to speak with you to discuss the possibility of working together. Please contact Neal at 516-808-1198 or email at NealStuart@verizon.net. Thanks.

I am 62 and have been playing guitar/singing since 1965 (off and on). It appears that we have the same musical taste, so let me know if you are interested in playing together. I have played for a few parties and have one coming-up.
Almost felt like I was reading my own profile. I am also bass then guitar, played max's cbgb, etc. Play mostly guitar today, been doing alot of writing and recording, looking to get back into some light gigging all for my sanity and enjoyment because it is what I love to do. Like to get an act together doing something of classic difference, T.Rex, Kinks, into T.petty style straight forward rock. email me at mannixmusic@aol.com
If we met face to face with of our facebook friends they would hardly give us a nod. Is social networking causing a fragmentation of society? Don't you think it's about time for some GrassRoots Marketing?

I started on bass since I was 13 - and still play bass w/ a pick.
but - started on guitar -@ 17- I and- have been out of the gig scene for the past years - BUT- I play & sing well / not great - well - because it's what I do.
I was in the Mid West circuit in the late '70's w/ the 60's band The Shadows of Knight - "GLORIA" - was the "Big Hit"- playing thru-out Wis., Mich., Ind., and the Chicago, Ill. area
Came to NYC - played NYC clubs inc. - Max's & CBGB's and many others
NONE of that means anything - just some background info
I like good SONGS - from any era - and like coming up w/ surprising version of stuff from the past - that people respond too the basic influences were/are the Beatles / Stones / Kinks / Cheap Trick/ the Georgia Satellites and that type of stuff - Crunchy 2 guitar stuff - but not Heavy Metal and good vocals
