I switched to Bass in January after playing guitar for 25+ years. Currently playing in a band doing Who, Bad Co., Ozzy, Allmans, STP, Alice in Chains, Van Halen, Hendrix, to name a few. I’ve been a huge Cream fan since I was in sixth grade, named my second son Eric...blah, blah, blah. I learn real fast, I’m having doubts about the band I’m currently in, mainly the vocalist and some of the musical choices. I know hicksville pretty well, I’m originally from Bethpage. Might be fun to come by and play with you guys.
We are deperate for a bassist to complete 2 guitars, drums and singer. We play classic and modern Rock like Led Zepplin, Stones, Cream, Audioslave, Rush,etc. We're ages 28 to 40 and are not looking for careers in music or a world tour. Theres no egos here, just nice people who want to play some great songs, gig once or twice a month, get some use out of our expensive equipment, and have some fun. We do take the music seriously though, so our new bassist is going to have to learn his or her parts relatively quick, be dependable and bring some song choices to the table. We are very open minded about what we play, so feel free to contribute.
We usually practice on Friday nights at the A Room in Hicksville. If your interested, write back and maybe we can set something up.
