20 year old vocalist with 5 years experience... needs rhythm section

So here's the deal. I just moved out here to Suffolk County and am looking to start a band. I have a potential guitarist, and I'm also writing most of the lyrics. Influences include Black Sabbath, Alice in Chains, Audioslave, The Doors, The Beatles, SRV, etc. Voice is deep and heavy, but a female singer may be used on some tracks. Also I'm trying to form something heavy that doesn't sound like the "hardcore" stuff. The sound shouldn't compromise heavy for good.

I've previously been involved in a few local bands in the Baltimore area, along the lines of heavy blues-rock, and want to try my hand up here.
