I have a drummer. Would like to do more originals in a sort of hard rock/fusion/funk/prog/jazz/pop elements.
Sense of humor, even tempered, laid back but serious players need apply. Leave the flakes to Kellogs.

40 something year old bass player...There isn't anyone more bored in a blues jam than the bassist. I think the genre is fine, it's just not my favorite.


What type of music are you really looking to do? I'm not really into metal but am into anything creative. Do you want to do covers, orignals, play out, just jam, etc?

Guitarist over 40 looking to play some different stuff.  I’m thinking Wilco, Sun Volt, Sons of Leon,   Alt, Alt, Alt.  I can’t play another Classic Rock cover.

Now you've gone and got me all riled up. First of all , the blues is a little more than playing the same three chords.If you were a serious listener , you would know that . But of course it's not for everyone. Try looking beyond 'Stormy Monday " or '' Thrill is Gone "and check out someone like Chris Whitley or Roy Rogers . Snooze Music ? I don't think so . I would use the term jaw-dropping , like when you heard Steve Howe , Eric Johson or Satch for the first time .

Yeah, you're right. I'm trying to get a band together but most players my age are into blues or old 60's, boring classic top 40 or doowop snooze music. Also, check out some of these threads with 50 - 100 and more people viewing them but noone ever replies. What the hell's going on here? I'd play with you but I play guitar too but I am looking to play with a keyboard player.

Ok, I see there's a lot of people lookin' but nobody replies. Just for fun let me ask....Are there any musicians on this god forsaken island that are into something besides I-IV-V blues???
Is it that its the easiest thing chord wise to jam on and everybodys too mellowed out from old age to write or learn anything different? No disrespect to real kickass blues bands/musicians, but this tired old song form has long been beaten to death by every LI wanker guitarist out there.
