Tobin James' career as a professional musician began in Australia back in the late '90s/early Aughts, as he traveled around in search of a new direction. Blues got fully into his blood during a stint in Chicago, and he became a presence on the Texas Blues scene soon after returning to his hometown of Dallas, Texas. In fairly short order, he released a CD with a band called Code Blue, and an EP with Jaded Soul.

James' latest CD, Rules of the Road, contains eight of his originals, plus two covers of songs by real-life friends Henry Correy and Texas Slim. You can also listen to some of the tracks at
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=180803604 and the cd is going to be reviewed in Blues Matters a magazine in the UK. www.bluesmatters.com

In August, James brings his high-energy Blues & Blues/Rock to New York moving to Brooklyn with his lovely wife Holly, both in search for new audiences. Holly is an actress who's just come home to New York from exile in Dallas, Texas. She's appeared in many stage and screen productions, and is currently focusing her efforts on television and film roles. She's originally from Queens and is represented by the LMT Agency and is looking to find more opportunties to work as an actress.

T.J. and Holly have taken up residence in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and have just arrived this week.  So look for them at BigDaddy's 205th Sizzlin Saturday Night Jam this Saturday August 18th.
The line-up so far for the jam is
9:15pm - Motu
10pm - BigDaddy & The Bulldogs
11:20pm The Tobin James Blues Band
There are still a few spots left so come on out if you are in the mood for some mid summer jammin.
Don't miss this rare appearance of the Tobin James Blues Band appearing in their first perfomance returning to NY
and lets show our support in the blues community with a real New York welcome to Tobin & Holly.
It's all about the music, man (really)
