Are you talking to me? Guitar? Bass?

Anyway we played together a couple of times. Nothing got off the ground...never was contacted again. Don't know if I was dumped or if it was because the project couldn't get off the ground due to chemistry or finding other  players to achieve the right sound or what....

You're a good guy but....I'm at a loss.

I envy you guys that can get a rock/fusion/prog band together on long island.

Everybody in my older age group just wants to play the usual classuic rock/blues covers. Being a guitar player doesn't help either...we're a dime a dozen. I'm always tempted/threatened to start playing bass. <sigh>

Long island blows for anything other than blues and downtuned modern thrash...uh...er...music.   biggrin

We are looking for a bass player interested in committing to a Rock/Jazz Fusion Project.

I (guitarist) have been playing with a couple of good friends (guitarist and drummer) over the last several months. It just started as a jam, but has turned into the beginning of a great musical journey. All of us are level headed guys, no ego maniacs, 25+ years playing experience each. Just love performing great music.

We are playing a mix of Rock, Jazz/Rock Fusion, and Jazz Standards -e.g. Mike Stern,Robben Ford,Joe Satriani, John Coltrane, and Charlie Parker
No Vocals ..

We are starting to write original Jazz/ Rock Fusion material. Our goal is to record it within the next 12 to 18 months (the regular job gets in the way). Also, we will start playing out Spring/Summer '08.

We are serious about the project and want to add someone who can make a commitment and devote the appropriate effort to make the project a success. We practice weekly in Lindenhurst.
