The Groove Merchants are looking for a trio of horns - Tenor sax/Trumpet/Trombone to complete a 9 piece R+B outfit.

We are aware that most horns are looking for work to earn a living. We respect that position but we are only looking for players that are willing to practice on Sunday nights in Farmingdale every week with us and don't need the paycheck to help cover their mortgage.

It is not easy assembling a big band with a big sound, especially since 75% of our songs use horns and most horn players will only show up for gigs when the green is right.

We have a few gigs booked and we intend to book bigger and better venues as our presence grows.

Just be aware that this project is for fun, it won't accomodate large egos and it requires a commitment of 3 hours per week at a minimum.
